About the Conference
The 2018 Indiana University Education Conference presented by and ICRC will be held on Thursday, July 19 at the Indiana Convention Center in downtown Indianapolis as part of the 48th Annual Summer Celebration.In efforts to improve the overall academic well-being of African American youth in Indiana, IBE has provided resources, best practices and professional development training in cultural competence to pre-k through post-secondary education instructors, administrators and higher education personnel. The purpose of the conference is to:
- Increase cultural competency among educators, administrators and policy makers,
- Raise awareness about relevant issues around K-12 and higher education, and or
- Provide best practice models for student academic success from cradle to career.
